ABOUT WAVIAN

The Original NATO Jerry Can

Built to the same military specification since 1937. Made in Latvia by the original manufacturer. Distributed in the United States by Swiss-Link, Inc. of Chico, California.

Born in 1937. Never bettered.

The steel jerry can was engineered in Germany in the late 1930s and quickly became the standard fuel container for militaries on every side of the Second World War. Allied forces copied the design bolt-for-bolt because nothing else came close — it stacked, it sealed, it poured cleanly, and it survived abuse that destroyed every other container in the field.

Wavian cans are built to that same specification today. Not inspired by it. Built to it.

Made in Latvia. NATO proven.

Every Wavian can is manufactured in Latvia at the factory that has supplied genuine NATO-issue jerry cans to militaries across the alliance for decades. These are not replicas or lookalikes — they are the real thing, produced on the same lines, to the same standard, and tested the same way as the cans issued to armed forces.
