Comments & Kind Words About Keet CornerThanks, everyone, for your wonderful feedback! It makes the effort spent developing and maintaining this site worth it. I really appreciate that you took the time to tell me what you think. --Holly . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Many years ago, I came across the parakeet pages on your wavian.com web site. I really enjoyed reading about that little hatchling. :-) Thank you for sharing the story. Over the years, I would always revisit the pages so that I could re-read the story. It wasn't until this past weekend that I finally saw the in-memoriam links for Runt and Homer. :-( I was sadden to read that they passed away. I'm sure their lives were fuller because they had a chance to share their time with you. Although I only "knew" them through the pictures and words on your web site, I'm grateful that you shared your thoughts and memories about Runt and Homer. I hope that the hatchling (all grown up by now) and Rocky are doing well. Your parakeet pages and FAQ are a great resource for everyone who loves parakeets - how wonderfully clever they are, how amusing their antics are, etc. ;-) Best regards. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Just wanted to thank you for your cool website on the baby keets. My 7 year old daughter had been asking me how her birds might have babies. I didn't know the answer so we decided to look online. Then we came across your wonderful pictures. We both really enjoyed seeing how the baby was hatched and grew. Hopefully my daughter's parakeets will have a baby too! Thanks again! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . No need to answer this! I just wanted you to know that I found your site very helpful with our new parakeet. We've decided that he's a boy after looking at your photos of ceres and we've named him DeWayne after our friend who makes excellent farting noises which we hope to teach to the bird. Thanks for your excellent site!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I just wanted to share with you that I absolutely love your website, and I wish I had found it sooner. I got my first parakeet 2 1/2 years ago when my boyfriend bought him as a present for me. I named him Mister Bird. Mister Bird died today after having a cancerous tumor removed from his belly. Everything went well with the surgery until he woke up. I can't imagine how scared he must've been to look down and see blood instead of feathers.. I just wanted to tell you that your memorial to Runt touched me and it reminded me of my time with Mister Bird. It is very sad when they pass, such sweet creatures.. I really liked your FAQ page. I had been feeding my bird seed and broccoli since I got him, I didn't realize seed was so bad for birds, especially since I was buying vitamin enriched seed. I just wanted to share with you that the Vet I went to also recommended Harrison's, and said that all of his birds are on Harrison's Pellets. He said that eating millet and seed is like eating potato chips constantly. I feel so bad because I didn't know this until a week ago. And I just really appreciate you creating a budgie website and posting about how parakeets should have a varied and pellet diet. I fear that most people don't know this. Thank you for your wisdom. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You have such a helpful site and I thank you for putting it up. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I just wanted to say that I love your site and have used it countless times for information on our birds. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Great website! I found it to be very informative and helpful. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thank you for your website! It was the most informative website regarding budgies I've seen so far. I hope you don't mind that I've taken the liberty of writing to you. You provide information based on experience, not books, and I like that. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Hello. I found your contact info on your VERY INFORMATIVE site about parakeets. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I did a search on baby keets and yours was the best i found .. Thank you for having one with great pics. I really enjoy your web site and have passed it along to others as well Thanks for the time you have put into it. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I have been searching the Internet for stories about parakeet tumors and ran across your story about Runt, and it touched my heart. There just aren't many resources for people who have lost a feathered friend it seems. Thank you for offering such a valuable resource on your website. |
